KBO odds, picks, lines, predictions, schedule, best bets for May 22: This three-way parlay pays over 4-1

The Lotte Giants got off to the best start this season in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), winning five straight games and six of their first seven. But now they've gone in the opposite direction as they have lost four in a row and six of seven. Lotte hopes to begin a turnaround when it hosts the Kiwoom Heroes in one of five KBO series openers that begin at 5:30 a.m. ET on Friday. The Giants were outscored 21-3 while being swept by the Kia Tigers, losing a 6-1 decision in the three-game finale on Thursday.

The latest KBO odds from William Hill have the Heroes as the -170 (risk $170 to return $100) favorites against the Giants, the Tigers at -190 against the SK Wyverns, the NC Dinos at -145 against the Hanwha Eagles, the LG Twins at -135 against the KT Wiz and the Doosan Bears at -160 against the Samsung Lions. Before locking in any KBO picks for Friday's games, be sure to see the Korean baseball best bets from SportsLine data engineer Mike McClure.

Recognized in the book "Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn your hobby into a Fortune" as a top Daily Fantasy Baseball Player, McClure has won almost $2 million in daily Fantasy sports. And in 2016, McClure launched the wOBA Projection Model for MLB picks, which has returned $2,300 to $100 bettors. If anybody knows how to spot value in baseball lines, it's him.

Now, he's turned his attention to the KBO League and locked in three strong picks for Thursday. Parlaying his three selections would pay out well over 4-1. You can only see them here.

Top Korean Baseball predictions for May 22

One of McClure's top KBO picks for Friday: He's backing the Wiz (+105) to begin their series against the Twins with a victory.

The Wiz got off to a disappointing 1-7 start this season but reeled off five consecutive wins before suffering a 9-4 setback against the Eagles on Thursday. KT still managed to register 10 hits in defeat, with Mel Rojas Jr. being one of four players to notch a pair as he raised his batting average to .456.

Rojas ranks second in the KBO behind Doosan's Jose Fernandez (.458) while Bae Jeong-dae, who went 1-for-3 on Thursday, is seventh with a .391 average. Former MLB right-hander Odrisamer Despaigne has been impressive for the Wiz, posting a 2.65 ERA and 1.00 WHIP while recording 18 strikeouts and only two walks over 17 innings in three starts.

"The wrong team is favored in this matchup as my model suggests KT is the better team by a pretty good margin," McClure told SportsLine. "Despaigne will put the Wiz in a position to win."

How to make KBO picks for May 22

McClure has found value on two other picks, including a money line he says is way off. Be sure to see what he's picking over at SportsLine before making any Korea baseball picks.

So which 2020 KBO picks should you make on Friday for a chance at a payout of well over 4-1? And which money line does McClure believe is significantly off?
